UMAMI

Art directed and produced the stop motion video ‘Umami’. The concept of the film Umami is based on the essence of the fifth taste. It is commonly thought that taste can only be described as sweet, salty, sour and bitter. However, the fifth sense Umami is quickly disregarded. In the  world of fashion there are layers upon layers of flavours that are indescribable. The film Umami explores the fifth unknown flavour of Rei Kawakubo, Chanel, Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen and Rick Owens. Bon Appetite.

Il Vero Comunista

Il Vero Communista is a personal project that analyzes the connection between the philosophy of communism and the similar parallels between the collections designed by Miuccia Prada. This project overlays images of communist propaganda posters with Prada campaigns, in order to allow the viewer to perceive a transparency between the thought of creation. Muiccia Prada was heavily involved in politics and communism in Italy before becoming the world renowned designer that she is today. The irony is, she sells organza now.
